Dr. Leah D. Wise, an accomplished educator and clinical athletic trainer based in Pleasant Garden, NC, brings a wealth of expertise in athletic training and kinesiology. She earned her Doctorate of Education in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, with her dissertation titled “Preparing Preceptors to be clinical Educators”.

In her teaching career, Dr. Wise has served as a part-time instructor at North Carolina A&T State University, teaching various kinesiology courses, and as an adjunct faculty member at High Point University in the Department of Athletic Training. She has extensive experience as a preceptor for several universities, including the University of North Carolina Charlotte and Appalachian State University. Her professional experience includes roles as a Clinical Athletic Trainer at Atrium Health and Novant Health in Charlotte, NC, where she provided interdisciplinary healthcare services and community education, and as Co-Head Athletic Trainer at Birmingham Southern College.

Dr. Wise has been recognized for her academic excellence with several honors and awards, including the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Scholarship. Dr. Wise is dedicated to advancing the field of athletic training and improving the quality of healthcare for physically active individuals.
Outside of work, Dr. Wise enjoys spending time with her family and reading fiction books.
