Blaine Long, PhD, AT, ATC
Dr. Blaine Long is an Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Millikin University in Decatur, IL, his Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Indiana State University, and his Ph.D. in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Brigham Young University.
Dr. Long has a vast clinical background. He has worked within the hospital, clinical outreach, high school, Division I sports and provided corporate health services. Dr. Long has published a number of research manuscripts on the use of therapeutic modalities, specifically those used in post-acute care rehabilitation. He has also given a number of research presentations at various regional and National meetings.
Dr. Long currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Athletic Training Education Journal and an Associate Editor of the Athletic Training and Sports Health Care Journal. Dr. Long has also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for many professional journals as well as a member of the NATA Free Communication Subcommittee."
