Jill Manners, ScD, LAT, ATC
Jill Manners, ScD, LAT, ATC, PT, COMT, FNAP, is an associate professor and program director for the Master of Athletic Training program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Manners was previously at the University of Georgia, where she was the program director for the athletic training program for six years. Prior to UGA, she was the program director at Western Carolina University from 2009-2017. She was also the program director for one year at Salisbury University and the program’s clinical education coordinator from 1997 to 2003.
In 2022, Dr. Manners was named a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. She has presented nationally and internationally on various topics in the fields of athletic training and physical therapy.
Dr. Manners earned her BS in Athletic Training/Exercise Science from Ithaca College in New York, MS in Athletic Training from West Virginia University, MPT in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University, and ScD in Physical Therapy from TTUHSC.
